Salisbury Cathedral – Salisbury, Wiltshire

Over the summer, after a couple of relaxing days visiting family in Glastonbury, the drive home provided time for an opportune visit to the City of Salisbury in Wiltshire. Located a short distance from Stonehenge, for a long time it was only another name on a road sign driving between Glastonbury and London. With no pressing need to get back home on this particular visit it was an opportunity to explore a new part of England that found recent notoriety as the backdrop to international espionage and assassination. Five Days in Tuscany – Memories of Pisa and the beginning of an adventure.

“With a few hours on our hands to visit this landmark before our train to Florence, with the sun on our backs and a desire to stretch our legs after a two hour flight we hit the rubber trail through the city centre to the tower, Pisa has a welcoming charm and feel away from the station, though perhaps lacking a distinctive style, the cobbled roads and street cafes had a very European feel that was refreshing after a period of time away from visiting the continent in the last year or two. In recent years, the growth and resurgence of polaroid photography has expanded into a niche but thriving brand and market for the Instagram Generation in a similar way to the enduring popularity of vinyl records.
